Speakers*

Mike Hurst, CPP, CPOI - HJA Consult

Mike is an award-winning security professional with over 25 years’ experience in executive security recruitment, and strategic consultancy with his company, HJA Consult, he has a background in business development, general management. 

He is the Director of the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) in the UK and is a member of its Global Advisory Board. IFPO champions education and certification within the profession, especially for frontline security.

Between 2010 and 2020 he was Joint Vice Chair/Chair of the ASIS UK Chapter and a Member of its European Advisory Council.  Previously Secretary of the Extremism and Political Instability Community (EPIC) and Professional Development Community (PDC), he established the Mental Health and Wellbeing Working Group on ASIS Connects.  Currently he is also a member of the ASIS Awards Committee and is a non-trustee member of the ASIS Foundation.   He is an ASIS Life Member.

For six years, Mike was a Main Board Director of The Security Institute (Events and Charity portfolios) and a Member of its Validation Board.

He is an Ambassador for veterans’ mental health charity PTSD Resolution and established the #SecurityMindsMatter initiative in the UK. 

Alan Greggo, CPP, CFE - Adjunct Faculty, Criminal Justice Department, Southern New Hampshire University

Alan F. Greggo CPP, CFE currently serves the retail business at Microsoft in Real Estate and Security as a Senior Regional Retail Security Manager. He is a Certified Protection Professional and Certified Fraud Examiner and is a past chairperson and current member of the ASIS Retail Asset Protection Council. A participating member of the Loss Prevention Research Council of the University of Florida. Greggo has a Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement Administration from Youngstown State University. A frequent presenter at GSX and prior ASIS Seminars, his most recent topic was ESRM for Retail Asset Protection. Greggo Co-Authored the book “Retail Security and Loss Prevention Solutions”, CRC Press, 2010. He has contributed chapters to the books “Internet Fraud Casebook and “Computer Fraud Casebook”, both published by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He has articles published in Security Management, LP Magazine, Optometric Management, and Seguridad En America Magazine.

Matthew M. Porcelli, CPP, MSI - Security Manager, Harvard Protection Services

Matthew Porcelli, MSc, CPP, MSI, F.ISRM, FSyl, is a safety and security manager with 20 years of experience in the criminal justice and private security sector working with clients from international airlines to corporate global headquarters, and alongside municipal, state, and federal law enforcement partners. He is certified as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) through ASIS International and a Master Security Instructor (MSI) with the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO).  Porcelli holds a Master’s degree in Administration of Justice and Security, and is a 2019 graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy Newark, New Jersey Division. Porcelli currently volunteers in high-level leadership positions with ASIS International, IFPO, The Institute of Strategic Risk Management (ISRM), The Security Institute, and The Life Safety Alliance.  Porcelli continues to author numerous publications and presents at many global conferences on security topics and leadership.    In 2021 and 2024 Porcelli earned the title of “Fellow” with the Institute of Strategic Risk Management and The Security Institute, respectively.  Porcelli was the award recipient in the category of, “Outstanding Young Security Professional,” at the 2023 US Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs), named one of the, “Top 40 Global Thought Leaders in Security & Life Safety for 2024 and 2025,” by The Life Safety Alliance.

Moderated by Meshal Aljohani - Security Operations Specialist, Saudi Aramco

Meshal has been in the security industry nearly 16 years in various capacities. He is working as Lead Security Group Officer on Aramco company. 

He holds Master degree in Business Administration He has also acquired the ASIS International Triple Crown: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) and Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) certifications.

His contributions to the field have been recognized through several prestigious honors, including 2025 PCB Outstanding Achievement Award, 2025 Distinguished Service Award, and 2023 ASIS NextGen of the Year Award. 

He serves as a member of ASIS Professional Development Community and the NextGen Community Steering Committee, an Advisory Board Member for the Security Middle East Conference (2023–2025), and contributes locally through ASIS Dhahran Chapter’s Events & Programs Committee.
