One of the most important elements of the managing of concerning behavior incident that could have potential to develop into a workplace violence scenario is the time gap from the time the behavior first occurs to the time leadership is made aware so that immediate action can be taken. Victims or witnesses of the concerning behavior (harassment, bullying, direct/indirect threat, etc.) will or will not immediately report the information to leadership depending on the security culture at that site, trust in leadership and an understanding of the reporting process.
