Federal law requires that every employer has a duty of care to plan and train emergency response for Special Needs Personnel (SNP). Every employer - without exception, no matter the size or business model - shall plan and train for every kind of emergency. One out of four working-age people in the United States will qualify as SNP. Emergency planning shall be site-specific and trained annually not just for employees, but also for visitors, contractors, gig workers - everyone.

Beyond the US, what is mandated in other global regions?

This presentation will take a view of workplace emergency planning for SNPs in North America (United States, Mexico, and Canada), Western Europe and India.  Learn the laws and regulations applicable to SNPs for emergency planning, training, drills and exercises. A presentation from the Fire and Life Safety Community.
