This webinar will address the leading causes of commercial and industrial fires, their costs and impacts, and how they can be prevented.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify three leading causes of commercial fire losses.
  2. Explain what Hot Work is and actions that should be taken to reduce the risk of fire.
  3. Describe what a red tag impairment is and the related risks.
  4. Explain a risk contractors or vendors can pose to your property.
  5. Describe three ways to protect against fire risks related to flammable liquids.

Chris is a Senior Loss Control Consultant with Lockton where he provides consulting services to large real estate clients with a focus on implementing sustainable safety and security solutions.   

Chris’ experience spans more than 25 years as a safety and security Professional, having worked in a variety of industries including Insurance, Hospitality and Healthcare.  Chris holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Safety & Health and a Masters in Business.  He is a CPP through ASIS International, is board certified in safety through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, and earned his ARM from the Insurance Institute of America.  Chris is a professional member of both ASIS International and the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) where he has served on several committees. 

Chris lives in Western Colorado with his wife and daughter where they enjoy hiking, camping and mountain biking.
