Diversity in Corporate Security—How Good or Bad Is It?

Almost all companies have published DEI statements, yet diversity seems to be lacking in the upper ranks of the corporate and NGO security departments. The lack of diversity in many speaker panels in the security industry could be one indicator of how inconsistent the security industry is from corporate DEI policies. The startling lack of diversity among CSO and other senior security personnel could be another indicator of a stark diversity problem in the senior security ranks. But is this lack of diversity only a perception or is it reality? This lecture will present findings from open-source research and surveys among the Fortune 50 senior security ranks and provide recommendations on increasing diversity.
