Deepfakes and Access Control: Unmasking the Digital Impostors Best of GSX 2025 Conference Recording

Access control systems are critical to managing enterprise security risks, and safeguarding employees, and corporate access. The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence, in the form of generative AI, and the widespread availability of related and other open-source tools has created an expansive threat landscape and challenge to security professionals and the industry. These include not only deepfakes, but also injection attacks that can simulate access control system components, in particular virtual phone and web cameras. As more companies adopt remote identity verification as part of their access control systems it becomes critical that these risks are identified, and countermeasures are put in place that address these issues.
